Abigeil Ploom:

"At the age of three, I left the Philippines and found myself on the island of Pohnpei, a place where nature spoke in whispers and roars, where the ocean stretched endlessly, and the land breathed with an untamed spirit. My childhood was a journey of movement, always shifting like the tides, yet deeply rooted in the lessons nature had to offer.

I remember the scent of fresh earth after the rain, the silent cries of unseen creatures in the night, and the hum of the wind as it carried stories only the heart could understand. There was a paradox in the world around me—tranquil yet powerful, still yet ever-changing. It taught me that beauty is found in surrender, in embracing both the calm and the storm.

Art became my refuge, a language beyond words, a space where I could translate the emotions and memories that shaped me. Through it, I learned grace in forgiveness, peace in acceptance, and the quiet strength of letting go—like the wind, moving freely toward the unknown.

My passion for art is deeply intertwined with the abstract, mirroring the complexity of the inner self and the unseen journeys we take. I want my work to remind you that you are capable of growth, of transformation, of experiencing life in its fullest form. We all carry within us the resilience to endure, to move forward, to survive.

Through my art, I reach into deep memories, evoking emotions that often remain unspoken. It is an invitation—to reflect, to feel, to connect. What you experience matters, because art is not just an expression of the self, but a mirror to the unseen depths of those who witness it.

My work, infused with abstract naturalism, is a reflection of my journey—of the beauty, the struggle, and the ever-evolving story of life.
